Tignanello is considered one of Tuscany's pioneering wines and the origin of the "Super Tuscans." In the 1970s, Piero Antinori revolutionized the Chianti style by using international grape varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon and disregarding traditional regulations. Since this blend did not comply with the DOC rules at the time, it was long declared as a Vino da Tavola. Today, Tignanello stands for elegance, structure, and a courageous break with conventions.
