Jacques Selosse is a renowned Champagne producer who relies on natural winemaking methods and the use of grapes from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards. His philosophy is based on the idea that nature is the main source of beauty and quality in wine and that it is the winemaker's task to emphasize this.

Unique to the production of his wines is that Jacques Selosse often uses the Solera system (Perpetuum system) to ensure consistent quality. In this process, wines from different vintages are blended, with a portion of the older wine always being mixed into the newer wine. In this way, the Champagne achieves a complexity and depth that clearly distinguishes it from other Champagnes.

On the palate, the Initial shows a wonderful balance between freshness and ripeness, with a sensational variety of aromas. The finish is long and present.
