Gamay at its best:
From a small cellar in Saint-Maurice-ès-Allier, Benoit Rosenberger cultivates 3 hectares of old Gamay vines (50–80 years old) at altitudes of up to 500 meters to produce energetic natural wines. Inspired by Frédéric Gounan, the Sancerre-born winemaker works completely without additives, neither copper nor sulfur, but with plant extracts. His wines, shaped by basalt, sand, and granite, are lively, deep, and absolutely full of character – uncompromisingly vinified and exceptionally exciting.
Drinkability & Aging potential: Already drinkable with vibrant fruit and tension, but the solid structure and complexity allow it to age further and gain depth over ≥ 5 years.
