Ornellaia Archivio Storico – Rare wines for collectors

The Italian cult winery Ornellaia has launched the "Ornellaia Archivio Storico" project to offer wine lovers and collectors around the world the opportunity to acquire rare vintages of the top wine. Until now, Ornellaia has not kept large stocks, as is often the case in Bordeaux. Now, however, selected wines that have been perfectly aged in Ornellaia's cellars are being offered for sale for the first time in limited quantities.

Limited availability and exclusivity Under the leadership of CEO Giovanni Geddes da Filicaja, it is emphasized that only a few bottles from the archive are available. These bottles, which have been able to mature undisturbed on the winery since the 1990s, offer a unique insight into the development of the wine and the history of Ornellaia. Sotheby's, a renowned auction house, has examined each bottle and given it a special label. The bottles will be auctioned exclusively in wooden boxes at auctions in New York, London and Hong Kong. In addition, a few bottles will be available in stores, including 150 verticals with the vintages 1994 to 1999.
