The Pöckl winery in Mönchhof, Burgenland, is an icon of Austrian red wine production and internationally known for its powerful, long-lasting and elegant red wines. Alois Pöckl founded the winery, which is now run by his son René Pöckl. The winery's uncompromising quality philosophy is particularly noteworthy: low yields, rigorous selection and a skilful combination of tradition and modern cellar technology.

The Mystique , a top wine from Pöckl, had its very first vintage in 1994 and is now a sought-after rarity. From the beginning, the wine was conceived as a cuvée of various international grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and often some Syrah. The grapes come from the best locations and were strictly selected to ensure exceptional quality.
