Description:

Domaine Stéphane Bernaudeau is a winery in the Anjou wine region, south of Angers in the Loire Valley. The estate was founded in 2000 and is run by Stéphane Bernaudeau, who follows biodynamic principles. The wines are characterized by minimal intervention and are made from individual blocks or parcels of vines. Particularly well-known is Les Nourissons, a 0.7-hectare parcel of Chenin Blanc, planted in 1910. Chenin Blanc dominates production, while Les Ongles is a two-hectare vineyard plot with this grape variety. Les Vrilles, on the other hand, comes from a 0.4-hectare parcel of Cabernet Sauvignon. Bernaudeau also owns some Grolleau Noir. Although geographically within the Anjou appellation, Bernaudeau's wines are produced under the title Vin de France.
