Description:
As a sommelier, I appreciate Jérome Prévost and his house La Closerie for his unique personality and unmistakable style. Prévost is one of the few winemakers in Champagne who practices biodynamic farming and works with minimal intervention. His vineyard in the Montagne de Reims covers only 2.2 hectares and he produces only about 3,000 bottles per year.
"Fac Simile" means "exact copy" or "faithful likeness" in French. Prevost relies on natural winemaking methods, often using old vines, to produce wines that authentically reflect the terroir and character of his vineyard. The name underlines his efforts to create Champagne that captures the essence of his terroir, without artificial interventions - a unique and authentic representation of his craft.
