Description:
Champagne Ruinart, founded in 1729, was one of the first champagne houses. It was named after Dom Ruinart, a Benedictine monk who wrote about champagne. He believed that his native soil was ideal for champagne. His nephew founded the House of Ruinart 20 years after his death. Ruinart introduced rosé champagne and shipping in wooden boxes. Today, the house, owned by LVMH, produces almost 2 million bottles annually. The prestige champagne Dom Ruinart is a Blanc de Blancs made from Chardonnay grapes that have been aged in the cellars for at least ten years. mature under Reims.
Maniola's tasting note: light color, slight perlage still visible, see pictures.
