Description: Domaine du Pégau's Cuvée da Capo 2000 is one of the great legends of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It consists of over 95% Grenache from old vines, complemented by a historic mixed planting. After an exceptionally slow fermentation, it was not bottled until 2003. Monumental yet astonishingly harmonious, it shows cherry liqueur, dark berries, garrigue, leather, licorice, and exotic spices. A profound, powerful Rhône classic with enormous concentration, silky tannins, and an endless finish. Awarded 100 Parker points.

Origin: Very nice bottles with good fill levels from an air-conditioned private cellar, stored there for 20 years.
